PRIVACY POLICY.
Plain-English version: we collect almost nothing.
What we collect
On the website (thedicegame.co): We use standard server logs (IP address, user agent, page visits) to keep the site running. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. No advertising pixels. No retargeting.
In the iOS app (The Dice Game.): The app stores all your game data — players, scores, active rules, owned packs — locally on your device using encrypted storage. None of this data is sent to our servers or shared with third parties.
We use the following third-party services strictly for app reliability:
- · PostHog for anonymous usage analytics. We track events like “die rolled” or “shop opened” with a randomly-generated anonymous ID. We never collect names you type, photos, drink counts, or any personally identifying information.
- · Sentry for crash reporting. If the app crashes, we receive a stack trace to fix the bug. No personal data is included in crash reports.
- · RevenueCat for purchase processing. When you buy a pack or skin, RevenueCat receives the transaction details from Apple to grant you the entitlement. They store an anonymous user ID, the products you’ve purchased, and the transaction timestamp. They never see your name, email, or payment details — Apple handles all payment information.
What we don’t collect
We don’t ask for your name, email, phone number, location, or any account credentials. The app has no sign-in. The website has no sign-up. We have no way to identify you personally and we like it that way.
Your data rights
Because we don’t collect personal information, there’s no account to delete. If you want to clear all data the app has stored locally, open the app → Settings → Reset all data. This is instant and final.
If you want PostHog to forget you, we can delete your anonymous ID on request. Email beta@thedicegame.co with the distinct ID shown in your app’s settings screen.
Children
This app is for users 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided data to us, contact beta@thedicegame.co and we will delete it immediately.
Cookies
The website uses one essential cookie to remember your preferences (e.g. age gate). We do not use any third-party tracking cookies.
International users
We are based in the United Kingdom. Your data may be processed in the US, EU, and UK depending on which third-party service handles it. All providers we use (PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat) comply with GDPR and CCPA.
Changes
If we update this policy, the “Last updated” date will change. Material changes will be announced in the app via a notification.
