Your game stays on your device. Here is how optional services handle data.
What we collect
On the website (thedicegame.co): We use standard server logs (IP address, user agent, page visits) to keep the site running. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. No advertising pixels. No retargeting.
In the planned iOS app (The Dice Game.): The app is not yet available on the App Store. It is designed to store game data locally on your device, including players, scores, active rules, and owned packs. Usage analytics is off by default and can be enabled in Settings. Player names are excluded from usage events.
The app uses these services when configured:
- PostHog: optional usage analytics, enabled only after you choose it in Settings. Events include app actions, platform and version, associated with a random app identifier. Player names are excluded.
- Sentry: crash diagnostics, including error details, app version and device or operating-system information, to help fix faults. Default personal-data collection and performance tracing are disabled.
- RevenueCat: purchase records, product identifiers and an app user identifier, to grant and restore paid content. Apple or Google processes the payment. The app does not receive your payment-card details.
Email requests
The app has no sign-in, and the website has no customer accounts. The launch-update form opens your email app and does not submit or save your email address on this site. If you send that draft or contact support, we receive your email address and the message you choose to send, and use them to reply or provide the updates you requested.
Your data rights
There is no website account to delete. To stop launch updates or ask us to delete correspondence, email beta@thedicegame.co. If you want to clear all data the app has stored locally, open the app → Settings → Reset all data. This is instant and final.
If you want PostHog to forget you, we can delete your anonymous ID on request. Email beta@thedicegame.co with the distinct ID shown in your app’s settings screen.
Children
We do not ask players for a date of birth or require an account. Follow the age rating shown in the platform store. If you believe a child has sent personal information through support, contact beta@thedicegame.co so we can review the request.
Cookies and browser storage
This prelaunch website does not set cookies or store a cart in your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The email-draft form only opens your own email app, and you choose whether to send the message.
If you use the Reduced Motion switch in the footer, we save your choice in your browser's local storage. It is used only to control motion on this website and is not sent to us. You can change it in the footer or remove it by clearing this site's browser data.
International users
We are based in the United Kingdom. Your data may be processed in the US, EU, and UK depending on which third-party service handles it. You can contact beta@thedicegame.co with questions about service providers, your correspondence or data rights.
Changes
If we update this policy, the “Last updated” date will change. Changes will be posted on this page.
